Speaking out for the consumer and consumer advice


Ensuring a fair hearing for the consumer and contributing the expertise of its membership to national and local policy debates are key objectives for the Institute.


To this end the Institute maintains dialogue with other like minded organisations and with Government, responds to consultation on legislation and is represented on a number of committees including the Consumer Protection Forum. 

 

The Institute provides detailed responses to government departments on matters within its specialist field.
