Ensuring Professional Development

To ensure the high levels of knowledge and expertise needed to maintain the best possible standards of service to the consumer, the Institute organises one-day seminars and courses throughout the UK on matters of relevance to consumer affairs professionals.  Courses cover both the legal aspects of consumer affairs and the practicalities of giving advice to the public.

Popular courses have included:

  • Law relating to insurance

  • Law relating to holiday contracts

  • A practical guide to cars

  • Dealing with the difficult client

The Institute aims to reflect the needs of its members in the mix of courses it offers and always welcomes suggestions for new topics.
